Kelly’s passion for protecting the environment inspired her to pursue a career in environmental consulting. She’s currently our technical lead for risk assessment and toxicology in Canada and a team lead for environmental services in Newfoundland and Labrador. Kelly is also a leader in environmental site assessments and human health and ecological risk assessments and has provided technical training to colleagues, clients, and governmental agencies.
Over the past 20 years with Stantec, Kelly has seen the benefit that her work has had on communities across Canada—as far north as Nunavut. Memorable projects include working toward lifting a decade-long fishing ban, thus allowing an Indigenous community to practice their traditional way of life, and aiding a family-owned business redevelop a vacant contaminated lot into a sustainable hotel which revitalized the local economy and created a thriving community.
Outside of work, Kelly is a mom to two young children. In her spare time, she’s an avid runner and enjoys hiking with her dog Willow and spending time with her family and friends.
